Parking Smarter 5 years 3 months ago 304

A geo-location based program that lets users check in and out of paid parking spaces in the city. This would only be valuable if enough people used it, and used it well. The idea is simple, but powerful, and would allow people to more efficiently find parking throughout the city.

street sweeper schedule 5 years 5 months ago 281

Some neighborhoods in Portland require you to move your car when street sweeping is scheduled. I now live in a neighborhood where the street sweeping is apparently random and occurs without any warning. I usually jump up run out and shuffle my cars. I would love to see an app that alerts me to the street sweeping schedule so I can move my vehicles.

Rose Quarter Event App 5 years 5 months ago 266

Events at the Rose Quarter can cause a huge traffic snarl on several major streets (MLK, Weidler, Broadway, I5) It would be great to have an app that sent an alert when there is a large-scale event (Blazer Game, Winterhawks game, concert) at the Rose Quarter so that you could plan your commute accordingly and avoid that area if necessary.
