This is an application that will use the bar code scanner on your phone to scan grocery items and will add them to an inventory inside the application.   You will also be able to scan QR Codes for certain recipes in magazines and this application will give you an itemized list of the items or ingredients you either already have or need to pick up.

Mental health app hotline 5 years 5 months ago 214

There are so many people that need mental help, support, someone to talk too. Now days everyone texts. So why not have an app that people can click on and ask for help without having to talk on the phone. If there was a support center where someone could ask for help or advice on there own time and get a response, it might save some lives.

An app that lists EVERY park and common space in the Greater Portland Metro Area, including the small community parks.  With maps of any trails and a complete listing of any amenities, parking availability and a short description and history of the park.

Neighborhood Attractions 5 years 5 months ago 226

A listing with website links of retailers, restaurants, parks, movie theaters, special events by neighborhood.  Include bus lines.  This would be a fabulous resource for new residents and tourists.  I recently went to Seattle by train and was completely frustrated by not knowing what I might find traveling to any particular neighborhood.

Metro-Wide group-sourced traffic mapping 5 years 5 months ago 163

Use GPS mapping software already available and feed local real time traffic times into it to help GPS pick the fastest travel route and avoid accidents.  Have app upload travel times constantly at each GPS intersection node.  App can then feed data back to all other devices for use.  Data could be mined at the metro level for transportation research purposes.

Pass Master 5 years 5 months ago 214

An app to purchase and display annual and monthly passes for TriMet on a smart phone.  Could be expanded to include season tickets to ski areas, series tickets for concerts and plays, community center athletic facility passes... basically anything where you currently are required to display something regularly to gain access.  No more cardboard, stickers, or other artifacts of the analog age.

Voter Registration iPhone App 5 years 5 months ago 171

Many young people aren't registered to vote in Oregon. Having an iPhone App that links to www.oregonvotes.org to register people to vote will be a great way to involve youth participation in Politics. Other cities and states are likely to follow our lead in Progressive Politics. Thank you!
